So yesterday was a very eventful day! We went to register!!!! We went to Crate & Barrel and Macy's. Personally, I had a blast. It was so exciting picking out all new stuff for our home together. Errick on the other hand could have cared less. He literally rotated between sitting on patio furniture displays to couches...each with a pathetic, bored look on his face.
I gave him an out and told him that I'd go by myself, but he wasn't having that either. He gave his occasional opinion on a few items and had a few requests for me to scan, but overall he was not enjoying it.
After Crate & Barrel we went to Macy's and Errick did a little better with that...more involved! I liked that he finally got into it. I mean, he's going to be using the stuff too!!!

Yet again I've gone almost the entire month without any updates!!!
March has been a very exciting month for us!!!
One project that is almost complete is our invitations. I chose to work with Lisa with Paper Daisies Stationary. Her samples were unbelievable. The thing I liked the most about her is that she sent me actual copies of all of my invitations, thank you cards, RSVP's, etc. It was like Christmas when I got them. I've got a few more updates to make on the guest list before I'm ready to make a deposit.
Also, last weekend my mom and I met with the florist. Let me tell you...the florist asked me questions I hadn't begun to think about. All I was thinking about was flowers for myself, my bridesmaids, and the groomsmen. I completely forgot I would need to get boutonnieres and corsages for the family...wow. We're waiting on the quote now, so I'm hoping to NOT have a heart attack when I read the estimate.
Lastly, Errick and I had our engagement pictures. My good friend, Jackelyn, is such a gifted photographer and she shot our pictures. We had such a great time and I couldn't be happier with how the pictures turned out. I'm going to pick up the edited copies from Jackelyn today, but here are a few pictures that I've already received.
Until next time...:)

Do you like these shoes???
I found these shoes online and immediately fell in love with them. I initially thought they'd be great for my wedding day, but then decided they'd be better for my bridesmaids. My friend, Amy, bought them so we could see how they look with the bridesmaid dresses.
What do you think?
These are the ones I chose for myself...I CAN'T WAIT to wear them!

Our wedding website...
Here is a link to our wedding website - http://KoryAndErrick.ourwedding.com. It definitely been a work in progress. I'll update it as things get checked off our list.
Having trouble with unique ways to do your hair?
One of the girls I work with just shared this blog with me. It's called http://www.thesmallthingsblog.com/ It's unbelievable! It shows you how to do all of these unique mini-updo's or how to properly curl your hair.
I can't wait to try some of these out!

It's all starting to come together...
Well, it's definitely been way too long since the last time I wrote!!! I think the last time I wrote anything was right before the new year and we had just booked our venue, 103 West. Lots has happened since then.
Right before Christmas, I chose all of my bridesmaids. I have a total of 5: Mallory, Tu-Khoa, Devon, Amy, and Erin. I found this great idea on Pinterest (my latest obsession) and it was a clever way to ask your friends to be your bridesmaids. What I did was bought each girl (that was over 21 of course) a bottle of wine and I made a tag and tied it to the neck of the bottle. On the tag it said, "As I prepare for the day that I'm to be a bride, it would mean the world to have you sipping by my side."
They turned our beautifully!
All my bridesmaids have bought their gowns and are awaiting their arrival. Errick's been a little slower at choosing his groomsmen. He's only got 2 selected so far. The anticipation is killing me!!!
As far as the big day goes, I've chosen my photographer. It's a company called Alea Moore Photography. They are actually the only photographers that I met with. I instantly fell in love with their pictures and am so excited to have them be part of my wedding. They will be shooting our rehearsal dinner and the big day.
Last Friday, I met with a lady named, Lisa that does custom invitations. Her company is called, "Paper Daisies." Her invites are phenomenal...When I met with her, I got to look through a ton of options and we were able to pick and choose from each one to create Errick and I's invitation's. She is going to be mailing us a sample so we can see what they will look and feel like. I love the idea of being able to see the product and feel it before I buy it. It only takes 2 weeks to get the invitations...I'm counting the days!
In the next couple of weeks I'll be meeting with the florist too. I did decide that I wanted Hydrangea's. They are such a full flower and I love how they look.
I'll keep you posted on how it all goes...

It's time to start the hunt for a venue...
Since the last post, I've moved forward with my wedding planner, Ashley Baber. I'm so thrilled to be using her to plan my wedding! I met with her last night to start brainstorming on venues. Monday, we're going to visit about three venues, The Wimbish House, The Georgian Terrace, and 103 West.
I've looked at The Wimbish House online a few times and it's gorgeous! I've also heard great things about The Georgian Terrace and 103 West. Obviously every venue is going to look differently in person, so I'm eager to get in the and check them out. Hopefully Errick will like them too.
The goal is to have a venue booked and a date set by the end of the year. This is so exciting!
