Since the last post, I've moved forward with my wedding planner, Ashley Baber. I'm so thrilled to be using her to plan my wedding! I met with her last night to start brainstorming on venues. Monday, we're going to visit about three venues, The Wimbish House, The Georgian Terrace, and 103 West.
I've looked at The Wimbish House online a few times and it's gorgeous! I've also heard great things about The Georgian Terrace and 103 West. Obviously every venue is going to look differently in person, so I'm eager to get in the and check them out. Hopefully Errick will like them too.
The goal is to have a venue booked and a date set by the end of the year. This is so exciting!

And the gifts are starting to arrive...
Right after Errick and I got engaged, all of the cards started to arrive. Most are from family but we've also gotten a few from my co-workers too.
We've got all of them on display on our counter at home. I love to look at all of the warm wishes!

Halloween has come and gone...
Well, I can't believe it...Halloween has already come and gone. I didn't think that Errick and I would be home in time for tricker treaters this year, but my company sent us home early to finish the day out at home to avoid all of the traffic. When I finished up work for the day, I rushed over to get some last minute candy.
Errick told me if we didn't give out candy the kids in the neighborhood would egg our house...hmmm!
So, like a good future wife, I went to the store and picked up a couple bags. Who knew it would be so expensive for candy!
The kids came and went and before I knew it all of the candy was gone. We had to turn the porch lights out at 8pm.
The highlight of the evening was watching my pretty pooch greet all of the kiddos. She's run out and give them a few kisses and get a pat and then jump back in the house. They loved her Miss Piggy costume!
As far as the wedding details, I've been working on our guest list...it's up to 139 now. I guess I forgot my family and I knew so many people. I think everything will come together just fine. My mom and I are meeting with Ashley Baber on Thursday night to discuss my wedding plans. I'm hoping she is going to plan my wedding.

Bride Magazines!!!
So on my way home from work last night, I decided it was a good idea to go by the store and pic up a few bridal magazines. Thirty dollars later...I walked away with 3. I had a feeling they'd be a little pricey. Once I got home I was so excited to get dinner in the oven, pour a glass of wine and flip through my new magazines.
I wasn't more than a couple pages through my first magazine when my "future hubby" walked through the door. He was less than impressed when he saw the price tag on my magazine...oh well...he's a guy and will never understand this stuff! :)
He took the magazine from me and started flipping through on his own. "Don't get a dress like that" he would say. And the most clever thing he said was "Make sure you wear the dress and the dress doesn't wear you." I'm thinking..."Who is this person sitting in front of me?"
I just smiled and said "Don't you worry!" =)
This concludes day 1 of dress hunting!

An unexpected surprise!
This past weekend, Errick and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary. We always like to get creative with the gifts we give each other and this year was no exception! We had a $50 budget. Well...neither one of us followed the rules. :)
On Saturday night when Errick came home from work, I was in the kitchen cooking dinner. He screamed down the hallway, "Where are you?" "Umm...I'm in the kitchen" I responded back. He told me to go to the living room and keep my eyes forward. He went straight to the bedroom and closed the door. I just assumed he was wrapping my present up. He came back out with my present in hand.
He told me to open mine first so without complaining...I dug in! In the bag was a set of champagne glasses and a fancy bottle of Dom Perignon! I couldn't believe it. Three years together definitely deserves a nice bottle of champagne. I thought it was fabulous!
Now it was his turn to open his present. We are going on a cruise for Christmas this year, so I got Errick a waterproof digital camera. He loves to snorkel so I thought it would come in handy. He loved it...(duh)!
So we go back and forth as to when to drink the bottle of champagne. Should we wait until tomorrow or drink it tonight? Errick told me that he really wanted to drink it that night, so I obliged. I mean, who can argue with that? I headed for the new champagne glasses and began opening the box they were in. All of a sudden, the second one I pulled out was clinking a little bit. Is it broken? No, there was an engagement ring in the glass.
I was in complete shock and couldn't believe that the moment I had always waited for was happening! When I turned around to look at Errick he was down on his knee asking me to marry him! I managed to get a tearful yes out of my mouth!
We couldn't be happier to start planning the rest of our lives together...
